Pillow Talk: Hannah Weiland

Hannah Weiland is, quite simply, one of the most stylish girls I know with a very distinctive eye for youthful, understated clothes and accessories with a playful edge. She also has an excellent collection of POPLIN PJs!

This season she launched Shrimps with a first collection of faux fur coats and bags- a colourful riff on classic Breton stripes. I stole her away from her creative endeavours and playing with her beloved dogs for a little Pillow Talk... (PS Head over to Instagram to discover the # shrimpsdog phenomenon!)

POPLIN designs are inspired by the style of iconic women, often from the '50s and '60s like Bardot and Ingrid Bergman, as well as contemporary icons like Iris Apfel. If you could dip into anyone's wardrobe, past or present, whose would you choose?

Present: definitely Susie Bubble, I love the colours she wears and she loves faux fur. And my Nana, Esther Weiland who is 90, she colour co-ordinates every outfit, from her earrings to her shoes, (she is an icon in my eyes).

What's on your wishlist from POPLIN?
The Neon Pink Bardot, I love them.

We're all about the beauty sleep at POPLIN... Are you an owl or a lark? Late sleeper? Early riser?
Definitely an owl, when I get the chance!

Favourite thing to...

- Cook in your pyjamas?
Boiled eggs and marmite soldiers

- Read in your pyjamas?
Harry Potter

- Listen to in your pyjamas?
At the moment all I listen to is Grayson Perry’s Reith Lectures

Pet hate?
Oranges!

Guilty pleasure?
Animation films/cartoons, I love them.

Best hotel bed you've ever slept in?
A sweet little hotel called Jeakes House in Rye, East Sussex.

Dream destination?
Tokyo!

Top travel essentials you always pack?

My Indochine POPLIN PJs-  they double up as a great two-piece evening outfit and then you don’t even need to change for bed.
