Another reason to love London's Golborne Road- the brand new Lali boutique! Owner, Nelli Turner has the sort of effortless, Scandi cool girl style that so many of us crave and her refreshingly original boutique is filled with beautifully designed fashion and accessories, including a selection from POPLIN, with a smattering of stationery and vintage homewares.   

The secret to Nelli's appealing selection seems to be that, like Claire at Fivestory, she unashamedly chooses things that appeal to her personal style sensibility, mixing vintage with hard-to-find labels.

So when next in Portobello Market, vintage trawling, keep walking up Portobello Road until you reach Pizza East and take a right. Lali is just a few doors down on the right hand side of Golborne Road. 

Or skip Portobello altogether and explore much quirkier, more unspoilt, Golborne. There are charming independent cafes- Golborne Deli and Lowry and Baker are both excellent, an array of incredible antique and junk shops, Ally Capellino's lovely store, an unbeatable Portugese bakery...  And POPLIN is based right here too, opposite Stella McCartney's studio.

POPLIN x FiveStory: It's in the Details...

POPLIN has created bespoke satin dressing gowns for Claire Distenfeld's new Upper East Side NYC boutique, FiveStory.

In slinky black with POPLIN's signature piping in the FiveStory emerald green, they perfectly compliment the gorgeous, decadent store interior.

Alexandra Jacobs of the New York Times' Critical Shopper column, mentioned them glowingly as "silken robes for lounging indolently between costume changes". 

If you're a New Yorker, in residence or visiting, do head to this head-turning, fresh boutique. The silken robes are not to be snaffled home, but there is a selection from POPLIN to shop.

POPLIN Hits Fivestory NYC!

 We're so delighted to have our first New York stockist, and not just any old stockist, but amazing, impeccably chic Fivestory!

Founded by the talented (and very brave) Claire Distenfeld, when we met back in February we instantly clicked and she fell head over heels for POPLIN- what she says about being a decisive taste-maker is all true! 

So pleased to have our collection in the NYC's store everyone from Vogue to The New York Times to the coolest New York girl is talking about right now!
