My dear friend Fanny Boucher, the designer behind Honorine Jewels, wore her Indochine Silk PJ Shirt to my wedding this summer! It really brought a smile to my already beaming face!

Pillow Talk: Nura Khan

Nura wears POPLIN Indochine Silk PJs

Not only is stylist Nura Khan incredibly chic, she's also hilarious with the most infectious laugh around. Inbetween lounging in Italian palazzos (above) we caught up for a little pillow talk...

POPLIN designs are inspired by the style of iconic women, often from the '50s an '60s like Bardot and Ingrid Bergman, as well as contemporary icons like Iris Apfel. If you could dip into anyone's wardrobe, past or present, whose would you choose?
I would love to have a rummage through Chanel's wardrobe. Black and white, stripes, pearls- the dream! Also, the swans of the 60s- Marella Agnelli, Gloria Guinness, Babe Paley- their style was so modern, Simple, comfortable but always chic. The best.

What's on your wishlist from POPLIN ?
I'm currently lusting after the Bardot nightshirt and the Audrey Pyjamas. But really I want absolutely everything! Help.

We're all about the beauty sleep at POPLIN... Are you an owl or a lark? Late sleeper? Early riser?
An owl I'm afraid. Double help.

Favourite thing to...
- Cook in your pyjamas?
Scrambled eggs with butter, to be cooked on a very low heat stirring constantly. It's the best birthday breakfast.
- Read in your pyjamas?
Anything about the Mitford sisters or Diana Vreeland. I'm an addict!
- Listen to you in your pyjamas?
Some good gossip! Ideally over breakfast with girlfriends, the morning after a great party.

Best hotel bed you've ever slept in?
Palazzo Margherita in Bari, Italy. Huge and beautiful.

Dream destination?
Too many! Paris, Big Sur, Rajasthan, next stop Brazil.

Top travel essentials you always pack?
POPLIN Indochine Silk Pyjamas, to make every bed glamorous.

Two pictures of Fanny Boucher, my fellow Indophile friend in her POPLIN Indochine Silk PJ shirt, two days in a row!

Hope you enjoy them us as much as we have. It's so inspiring to see how Fanny wears her POPLIN pieces out and about in Bombay. She's moving to Paris very soon so we can't wait to see how she styles her Indochine PJs there.

Indochine PJs: The Ultimate Loungewear

Indochine Classic Silk PJs

These are quite simply the ultimate silk PJs, in the most beautiful silk we could find and with a glamorous Indochine print. Mine already feel like a loyal wardrobe classic, travelling with me for a romantic trip to Paris, and slipped into in the Scottish Highlands for after-dinner drinks with friends on a Hogmany holiday. Oh the places we'll go...

Marilyn Style

I have just come across a really hilarious interview with POPLIN muse, Marilyn Monroe, which includes this typically kooky 1950s advice on diet and lifestyle.

“BREAKFAST. I’ve been told that my eating habits are absolutely bizarre, but I don’t think so. Before I take my morning shower, I start warming a cup of milk on the hot plate I keep in my hotel room. When it’s hot, I break two raw eggs into the milk, whip them up with a fork, and drink them while I’m dressing. I supplement this with a multi-vitamin pill, and I doubt if any doctor could recommend a more nourishing breakfast for a working girl in a hurry.

DINNER. My dinners at home are startlingly simple. Every night I stop at the market near my hotel and pick up a steak, lamb chops or some liver, which I broil in the electric oven in my room. I usually eat four or five raw carrots with my meat, and that is all. I must be part rabbit; I never get bored with raw carrots.
P.S. It’s a good thing, I suppose, that I eat simply during the day, for in recent months I have developed the habit of stopping off at Wil Wright’s ice cream parlor for a hot fudge sundae on my way home from my evening drama classes. I’m sure that I couldn’t allow myself this indulgence were it not that my normal diet is composed almost totally of protein foods.”

Our Marilyn Silk PJs are inspired by the quintessential Hollywood starlet's feline glamour: black leopard jacquard silk with a leopard print trim. Classic but slightly outrageous, like their namesake...
